Pimienta Celso Suffers Major Injuries in San Marcos Crash on West Borden Road near Palomar College

San Marcos, California (January 28, 2020) – A landscaper was hospitalized Monday morning after a traffic accident in San Marcos, authorities said.

The accident happened at around 7:15 a.m. Monday, January 27 on West Borden Road near Palomar College.

Police said a 16-year-old girl was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz eastbound on Borden Road when she crashed into a parked trailer and hit Pimienta Rodriguez Celso, 43, who was offloading equipment from the trailer.

Celso sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.

The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.

No other details of the crash were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
