Mountain Center, California (April 30, 2020) – A pilot was killed in a plane crash on Thursday afternoon in Mountain Center, according to police.

The deadly crash involving a twin-engine plane transpired at about 12:40 p.m. near Bautista Road, within sight of the Bautista Conservation Camp in the San Bernardino National Forest.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a Piper Aztec, an older model twin-engine plane that seats four to six people crashed along a jagged ridgeline. The reasons that led to the accident are yet to be established.

The pilot who was the only occupant in the plane was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the accident, the aircraft was on fire, but the fire was contained by 3:00 p.m.

It was not clear where the plane was heading to or where it took off. The nearest airport is Hemet-Ryan.

The crash remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that plane accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
