Pilot Hospitalized after Davis Plane Crash at Yolo County Airport
Davis, California (January 2, 2020) – A pilot suffered minor injuries after a small plane crash that happened on Wednesday afternoon in the area of Davis, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place at about 3:30 p.m. at the Yolo County Airport, just west of Davis.
As per the CHP officials, a single-engine, homebuilt RV8 flipped over on the runway a while after landing.
The pilot sustained minor injuries in the accident. The pilot was the only person aboard the plane at the time.
No further information concerning this collision was provided.
An investigation by the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office and Federal Aviation Administration is underway.
