Philip Davis Identified as 1 of 2 Victims Killed in La Mirada Car Crash at Imperial Highway and First Avenue

La Mirada, California (May 31, 2020) – Authorities have identified Philip Davis, 64, of Whittier, as one of the two victims who were killed in a Friday evening car crash in La Mirada.

The deadly accident occurred at Imperial Highway and First Avenue, at about 5:40 p.m., on May 29.

According to the authorities, a pickup truck and a Dodge Challenger collided on the roadway for unknown reasons. One of the cars involved was allegedly seen speeding before the accident.

Following the mishap, the Dodge caught fire, and the pickup driver was extricated from their vehicle by the deputies.

Davis, who was in one of the cars involved in the crash, was declared dead at the scene. Another person also died at the scene.

Two other parties involved in the accident were hospitalized in unknown conditions.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
