Person Hit and Killed by Car on Ramona Expressway in Nuevo

1 Killed, 1 Injured in Nuevo Pedestrian Accident on Ramona Expressway near Bridge Street

Nuevo, California (April 17, 2020) – One person was killed, and one other was injured in a Thursday evening auto-pedestrian crash in the unincorporated Riverside County community of Nuevo near Perris.

The crash happened at about 9:45 p.m., on April 16, in the 34000 block of Ramona Expressway, near Bridge Street.

The police said the two persons were hit by a vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

One person was declared dead at the scene, while another victim sustained minor injuries following the accident.

No further details about the crash were available.

The crash remains under investigation.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
