1 Person Hospitalized after Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Eucalyptus Drive and Stephen Kelly Lane

East Bakersfield, California (February 12, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday evening major pedestrian crash in Bakersfield.

The police responded to an accident on Eucalyptus Drive and Stephen Kelly Lane a while after 7:00 p.m.

A male pedestrian in a wheelchair was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street. He was not in the crosswalk, according to the police.

Following the accident, the pedestrian was hospitalized with major injuries.

The involved driver stopped and cooperated with the authorities.

An investigation is underway.
