Pedestrian Dies after North Hollywood Accident near Sherman Way

North Hollywood, California (December 31, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian versus train collision that took place on Monday night in North Hollywood.

The deadly crash happened at about 7:53 p.m. Monday, December 30, near Sherman Way.

The California Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was struck by Amtrak train 792 for unknown reasons.

The victim suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The name of the deceased was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.

No one aboard the train was hurt in the collision.

An investigation is ongoing.
