Pedestrian Dies in Vermont Square Crash on Vernon Avenue
Los Angeles, California (May 9, 2020) – A Thursday night crash in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles left a pedestrian dead, a local news source reported.
The deadly pedestrian accident, which was reported at around 9:24 p.m. Thursday, May 7, happened in the 2000 block of West Vernon Avenue.
According to the report, a grey Honda sedan struck the pedestrian on West Vernon Avenue for undetermined reasons.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the pedestrian lying in the road and suffering from major trauma following the crash.
The pedestrian, whose name has not been released pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
