Pedestrian Dies in South Los Angeles Crash at 58th Street and Compton Avenue
Los Angeles, California (April 26, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash in South Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of 58th Street and Compton Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday, April 25.
The victim was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood and was pronounced dead shortly before 5:00 p.m. The name of the deceased was withheld pending notification of family.
It remains unclear if the driver involved stopped at the scene.
Police blocked the intersection following the wreck.
The accident remains under investigation.
