Man Suffers Major Injuries in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident at Valley Hi Drive and Mack Road
Sacramento, California (February 26, 2020) – A man was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon while crossing a street in Sacramento, authorities said.
The man was crossing at the intersection of Valley Hi Drive and Mack Road at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, when a vehicle struck him.
The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital with major injuries. He remains in critical condition.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
Police closed Mack Road for several hours to investigate the accident. Just before 10:00 p.m., the road was reopened.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
