33-Year-Old Man Dies after Pittsburg Pedestrian Accident on Highway 4 at Loveridge Road
Pittsburg, California (February 17, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in Pittsburg.
The accident occurred on eastbound state Highway 4 at the Loveridge Road off-ramp.
The police responded to a pedestrian crash at about 1:00 a.m. on Highway 4, February 16. A 36-year-old Livermore man driving a 2013 Honda reportedly struck a 33-year-old man who was in lane 2 of the off-ramp.
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not clear if the victim was intoxicated at the time.
The involved motorist stopped and cooperated with the police. The driver was not impaired at the time.
An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the CHP in Martinez at (925) 646-4980.
