Serious Injuries Reported After Los Angeles DUI Car Accident at Avalon Boulevard and 139th Street

Los Angeles, California (February 17, 2020) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, at least one person sustained serious injuries following an alleged DUI car accident that happened in Los Angeles at around 1:44 a.m. early Saturday morning.

The major injury crash took place at the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and East 139th Street.

The accident involved two sedans, colored white and gray, that collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.

Due to the impact of the collision, one of the vehicles involved rolled over and ended up on its roof.

One person was confirmed to have suffered major injuries in the wreck. The unidentified victim was attended to by medical personnel and then rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The CHP said one of the drivers involved was intoxicated at the time of the collision.

Police later arrested the suspect on suspicion of DUI.

The investigation is underway.
