One Killed in San Diego Train Crash near Lindbergh Field
San Diego, California (February 19, 2020) – One person was killed in a train versus pedestrian accident on Tuesday afternoon in San Diego, according to authorities.
The fatal crash occurred near Lindbergh Field, off the 2100 block of West Washington Street in the Middletown district of San Diego.
The authorities said an Amtrak train struck a pedestrian, shortly before 4:30 p.m. February 18, on the stretch of rails. The reasons that led to the accident are yet to be established.
The unidentified pedestrian died as a result of the crash.
More details about the crash were not available.
The crash remains under investigation.
