Pedestrian Hit, Critically Injured by Truck at Taylor and Geary Streets in San Francisco

67-Year-Old Woman Critically Injured in San Francisco Pedestrian Crash at Taylor and Geary Streets

San Francisco, California (March 2, 2020) – A 67-year-old woman was critically injured after being hit by a public works truck at the intersection of Taylor and Geary Streets in San Francisco Sunday morning, authorities said.

The woman, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was walking across the street at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, March 1, when the public works truck struck her.

The woman was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital in critical condition.

The public works truck driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.

Anyone with information regarding this accident is urged to contact the San Francisco police.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
