Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach

Pedestrian Killed in Huntington Beach Collision on Pacific Coast Highway near Magnolia Street

Huntington Beach, California (January 3, 2020) – A pedestrian died in a late night traffic collision that occurred in Huntington Beach on Thursday.

According to a report by the Huntington Beach Police Department, the incident took place at about 11:10 p.m. January 2, on the Pacific Coast Highway near Magnolia Street.Police responded to the crash and attempted CPR on the pedestrian. The victim, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle that hit the pedestrian was a 2019 Dodge Durango. The driver, a 51-year-old from Toronto, Canada, reportedly remained at the scene after the crash and cooperated with the investigators.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
