Paulina Almeda Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Fruitridge Road near Nona Way

Sacramento, California (December 16, 2019) – Authorities have identified 41-year-old Paulina Almeda of Sacramento as the woman killed in a pedestrian collision early Sunday morning in South Sacramento.

The deadly accident occurred a while before 3:00 a.m. Sunday, December 15, on Fruitridge Road near Nona Way.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Almeda was attempting to cross the road outside a crosswalk when she was hit by a 24-year-old Sacramento woman driving a Ford Windstar westbound on Fruitridge Road.

Responding firefighters declared Almeda dead at the scene.

The involved motorist remained at the crash site and cooperated with officials.

No further details concerning this crash were provided.

An investigation is underway.
