33-Year-Old Josie Montijo ID’d Woman Killed in Desert Center on Interstate 10 near Desert Center Rice Road

Desert Center, California (December 16, 2019) – 33-year-old Josie Montijo of El Centro has been identified as the woman killed in a vehicle accident on Sunday night in Desert Center, police said.

The collision was reported at about 10:17 p.m. December 15, on the westbound Interstate 10 eat of Desert Center Rice Road.

The Riverside Fire Department said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Montijo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Two other people sustained minor injuries in the crash.

No other details of the crash were immediately reported.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
