Pedestrian Killed in San Jose Crash near Bollinger Road and Wunderlich Drive Identified

San Jose, California (December 15, 2019) – The Santa Clara County coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle Thursday evening in West San Jose as Om Prakash Muttreja, 84, of Orlando, Florida.

The fatal pedestrian accident took place shortly before 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12 near Bollinger Road and Wunderlich Drive.

Authorities said Muttreja was hit by a westbound green 2016 Subaru while he was attempting to cross Bollinger Road.

Muttreja was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The female driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stopped at the scene. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
