Norm Dillinger Seriously Injured in Placerville Head-On Crash on Grizzly Flat Road

Placerville, California (March 1, 2020) – A 64-year-old Somerset man was seriously injured Friday night in a two-car accident in Placerville, according to a local news source.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened on Grizzly Flat Road at about 6:55 p.m. Friday, February 28.

The CHP said a Toyota Corolla driven by Dillinger, was heading northbound on Grizzly Flat Road when, for unknown reasons, the Toyota collided head-on with a Volkswagen hatchback driven by a 17-year-old. Due to the impact, the Toyota spun and crashed into a dirt embankment on the right shoulder.

Dillinger was transported to Marshall Hospital for treatment of major injuries.

The driver of the Volkswagen was uninjured.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
