Major Injuries Sustained in I-880 Car Collision in Hayward

Hayward, California (January 23, 2020) – Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene of a major injury collision that happened Wednesday morning on Interstate 880 in Hayward.

According to a report released by the California Highway Patrol, who also responded to the scene, four vehicles were involved in the crash.

The accident happened at about 5:53 a.m. near the Industrial Parkway off-ramp.

An unknown number of parties sustained major injuries in the crash. The patients were offered medical aid by the paramedics and transported to the hospital.

CHP is investigating the cause of the crash and the responsible party.
