Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Crash on Mango Avenue in Fontana

42-Year-Old Man Dies in Fontana Motorcycle Accident on Mango Avenue near Baseline Avenue and Wabash Avenue

Fontana, California (January 12, 2020) – A 42-year-old man was killed Saturday evening in a traffic accident involving two motorcycles in Fontana, according to officials.

The deadly crash took place at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, January 11 on Mango Avenue near Baseline Avenue and Wabash Avenue.

Police said the 42-year-old man was riding his motorcycle on Mango Avenue when for an unknown reason, he collided with another motorcycle driven by a 30-year-old Fontana man.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the 42-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive after the crash. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was declared dead. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The other motorcyclist was not injured in the crash.

Mango Avenue was shut down during the investigation. As of 9:00 p.m., the roadway was reopened.

The accident remains under investigation.
