Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 108 Collision in Keystone
68-Year-Old Modesto Man Killed in Keystone Motorcycle Accident on Highway 108
Tuolumne County, California – A fatal Keystone motorcycle accident that occurred on Highway 108 near Rushing Hill Lookout Road on Saturday has been reported by the California Highway Patrol.
On September 5, following the accident that took place shortly before noon on Saturday, a 68-year-old man from Modesto was killed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Modesto man was riding a 1999 Harley Davidson Motorcycle in the eastbound lanes when he stopped to help a motorcyclist on the north shoulder who was stranded.
Moments later the man pulled into the roadway and came directly into the path of a 2012 Kenworth big rig that was driven by a 63-year-old Erik Roen of Knights Ferry.
The emergency crews rushed to the accident site and performed CPR on the victim, however, he died at the accident scene.
More information about the injuries was not reported.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
