Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash on 405 Freeway in Seal Beach

Motorcyclist Killed in Seal Beach Car Accident on San Diego (405) Freeway near San Gabriel River (605) Freeway

Seal Beach, California (April 27, 2020) – A traffic crash claimed the life of a motorcycle rider in Seal Beach Sunday morning, authorities said.

The motorcyclist was traveling in the northbound lanes of San Diego (405) Freeway at about 4:07 a.m. April 26 when they crashed into the right shoulder wall south of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.

Due to the impact, the rider was thrown from the bike and landed on the freeway lanes. The motorcyclist was then hit by two vehicles.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been disclosed pending notification of family, died at the scene.

A SigAlert was issued at about 4:27 a.m., blocking all northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway. Traffic was diverted off at the Seventh Street exit.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
