Woman Killed, Two Critically Injured in East Oakland Car Accident at 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard
Oakland, California (April 27, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a woman in East Oakland early Sunday morning and left two other people seriously injured, police said.
On April 26, at around 3:36 a.m., a Nissan van and a Honda sedan collided at the intersection of 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard.
A passenger in the Honda, described as a woman in her 20s, died at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of the family.
Both drivers sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital where they were listed in critical but stable condition.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.
Police traffic investigators asked anyone who witnessed the accident to call them at 510-777-8570.
