Minor Injuries Reported in Sacramento 4-Car Accident on Interstate 80 near Interstate 5

Sacramento, California (January 11, 2020) – According to the California Highway Patrol, injuries were reported following a multi-car accident that happened Friday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Sacramento.

The crash occurred at about 4:18 p.m. Friday, January 10 on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Interstate 5 junction.

The CHP said the wreck involved a pickup truck and three sedans. One vehicle reportedly ended up on top of another after the crash.

Minor injuries were reported in the crash.

The left two lanes of the Interstate 80 were closed while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic backed up across the River. The lanes were reopened at around 5:12 p.m.

No other details about the crash were given.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
