Michael Ferialdi Among Two Men Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 14 near Robbers Roost in Kern County
Kern County, California (December 8, 2019) – Michael John Ferialdi, 33, of Burbank, was among two men killed in a traffic accident that happened early Saturday morning in eastern Kern County.
At around 2:04 a.m. Saturday, December 7, the California Highway Patrol officers received a report of a traffic accident on Highway 14, just south of Robbers Roost.
The CHP officers arrived at the crash site and they determined that a 2015 Toyota Tacoma collided head-on with a Sheriff’s Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle on southbound Highway 14.
Ferialdi, who was the front-seat passenger in the Tacoma, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Tacoma, identified as Fernando Ramirez, 33, of Burbank, also died at the scene of the accident.
A third person in the Tacoma, a 30-year-old Burbank man, was able to get out of the car under his own power and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital in unknown condition.
The driver of the Sheriff’s vehicle, identified as Sgt. James Anton, was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital with major injuries.
It is still unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
