Michael Davis Killed in Palmdale Motorcycle Crash on 15th Street West and Rancho Vista Boulevard

Palmdale, California (March 2, 2020) – 37-Year-old Michael Davis, pf Palmdale, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a crash early last month at the intersection of 15th Street West and Rancho Vista Boulevard in Palmdale, suspect arrested, according to a police report.

According to authorities, Davis was riding a motorcycle southbound on 15th Street West through a green light at Rancho Vista Boulevard when he was struck by Honda Civic, driven by Hector Lara, 26, of Palmdale as it traveled westbound through a red light at the intersection.

Davis was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Lara reportedly fled the scene after the crash.

He later turned himself in at the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station on February 24 and was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. Lara was later released after posting a bond.

Lara is due back in court on March 26, according to LASD inmate records.

The crash is still under investigation.
