Martha Brandon Killed in Vehicle Crash on Highway 49 in Auburn

Martha Brandon Fatal Auburn Crash on Highway 49

Auburn, California (January 14, 2020) – 68-year-old Martha Brandon has been identified as the woman killed in a vehicle crash on Friday morning in Auburn, as per a police report.

The crash took place at around 9:00 a.m. January 10, on Highway 49 near Joeger Road.

The California Highway Patrol said a Honda Accord driven by Brandon collided with a Kia Sportage SUV driven by Janice Tate for reasons still under investigation. The impact of the collision caused Kia to overturn onto its roof.

Brandon was severely injured and taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where she succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.

Tate sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
