Maria De la Cruz ID’d as Woman Killed in Tulare Pedestrian Accident at Bardsley Avenue and P Street

Tulare, California (December 9, 2019) – Authorities have identified the woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday evening in Tulare as Maria De la Cruz, 71, of Porterville.

The deadly pedestrian accident was reported shortly after 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8 in the area of Bardsley Avenue and P Street.

Authorities said Cruz was hit by a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Tulare man.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and took Cruz to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
