Sleeping Man Sustains Minor Injuries in Riverside Car Crash

Riverside, California (March 2, 2020) – A man sustained minor injuries after a car crashed through a wall on Saturday morning in Riverside, Southern California, according to police.

A car barreled over a power pole, about 1:00 a.m., on February 29, and smashed through a wall pinning a sleeping man onto his bedroom wall, police said.

The car went in partially and rendered the house inhabitable. Four adult occupants were displaced.

The sleeping man suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident. The driver, a 22-year-old man, was extricated from his vehicle.

The 22-year-old man was arrested and is likely to face charges including driving under the influence of alcohol, causing injury and DUI with a blood-alcohol level higher than .08 causing injury, according to the police.

The damage to the house was believed to be coast about $200,000.

An investigation is underway.
