Fatal Stanislaus County Pedestrian Crash on Highway 99
Stanislaus County, California (March 3, 2020) – Police officers are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on in the slow lane of southbound Highway 99 in Stanislaus County.
According to the Stanislaus County Coroners’s Office, a man in his 50s was walking north of Kansas Avenue on Saturday, February 28, at around 4:38 a.m. when a Toyota is driven by a 57-year-old Sukhbir Singh, of Modesto struck the man.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Singh stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
No other details of the crash were immediately released.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
