Man killed in Train Crash on 29th Avenue and 12th Street in Oakland

Fatal Oakland Accident on 29th Avenue and 12th Street 

Oakland, California (January 30, 2020) – A man was killed after his vehicle collided with a train on Wednesday night in Oakland, according to a police report.

The collision was reported at around 9:00 p.m. January 29, near 29th Avenue and East 12th Street.

Authorities said an Amtrak train collided with a vehicle near the intersection for unknown reasons.

The man was trapped in his vehicle and was extricated by paramedics who responded to the crash. Sadly, the man was  pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

The crash is still under investigation.
