Man Killed in East County Car Crash on SR-67 and Foster Truck Trail
East County, California (March 23, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed one person and left at least one hospitalized early Monday morning in East County.
The deadly crash occurred on state Route 67 and Foster Truck Trail, between Lakeside and Ramona, at about 6:52 a.m.
The authorities said several vehicles collided on the highway for reasons that were yet to be established.
A driver, who was ejected from one of the vehicles, was declared dead at the scene. Another person was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
Following the accident, the roadway was closed for an unspecified period.
More information about the crash was not disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
