Fatal North Highlands Vehicle Crash on Auburn Boulevard
North Highlands, California (January 16, 2020) – A 20-year-old man was killed in a vehicle accident on Tuesday evening in North Highlands, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash took place on Auburn Boulevard near Kohler Road at about 8:30 p.m.
The CHP said a 2009 Infiniti Coupe was driven by the victim in the coffee shop parking lot when he entered southbound Auburn Boulevard and was struck by a 2015 GMC Yukon SUV.
The Infiniti was pushed onto a lawn on the side of Auburn Boulevard, while the Yukon came to a halt
The driver of the Infiniti was injured and transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
