Man Killed in Big Rig Accident on 10 Freeway in Rialto

61-Year-Old Man Killed in Rialto Truck Accident on 10 Freeway near Riverside Avenue

Rialto, California (May 1, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday night big rig accident that killed a 61-year-old San Bernardino man in Rialto.

At about 10:40 p.m., on April 26, the police responded to the crash on the eastbound 10 Freeway in the No. 3 lane, east of Riverside Avenue.

A 2017 white Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer combination, operated by a 34-year-old Hemet man, stalled in the No. 3 lane east of Riverside Avenue. The tractor-trailer had stopped due to mechanical problems and had it hazard lights on, according to the officials

The Freightliner was rear-ended by a 1995 blue Toyota T100 that was heading eastbound on the freeway. It was not clear why the Toyota, driven by the 61-year-old San Bernardino man, crashed into the big rig, said the police.

The 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that truck accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
