55-Year-Old Man Seriously Hurt in Apple Valley Bicycle Crash at Corwin and Central Roads

Apple Valley, California (April 14, 2020) – Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon bicycle crash that left one person critically injured in Apple Valley.

As per the police reports, the mishap happened at Corwin and Central Roads, near the Apple Valley Airport, at about 12:19 p.m.

A 55-year-old man was traveling westbound riding a bicycle on Corwin Road. At the same time, a 67-year-old man from Apple Valley, driving a 2019 white Toyota Tacoma, was traveling northbound on Central Road towards Corwin Road, the police said.

In unclear circumstances, the cyclist reportedly went into the pathway of the Tacoma, where the two crashed into one other.

The 55-year-old man was found unresponsive down in the roadway by the first responders who arrived at the scene.

The man sustained critical injuries and was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Following the accident, the Tacoma sustained damage on the front end.
