Man Injured in Petaluma Truck Accident on Highway 101 near East Washington Street

Petaluma, California (January 7, 2020) – A man was injured after a Petaluma truck accident on Monday morning, according to authorities.

The collision occurred a while after 8:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, on Highway 101 near the East Washington Street exit.

As per the CHP officials, a black Chevy pickup truck was heading on Highway 101 when it slammed into the rear of a semi-truck hauling a flatbed trailer for reasons still under investigation.  The impact caused the pickup truck to crash into the median.

The male pickup truck driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The big rig motorist was unharmed in the collision.

Authorities said the collision slowed traffic on Highway 101 for about two hours.

An investigation is underway.
