Cajon Pass Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway near Mathews Ranch Road Resulted in Major Injuries

Cajon Pass, California (December 9, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a pedestrian collision that resulted in critical injuries to a male party in the Cajon Pass on Sunday night.

The pedestrian collision, which happened at around 8:09 p.m. December 8, occurred on the 15 Freeway just north of Mathews Ranch Road.

As per the report, a man stepped out of a 4-door sedan that had been stopped in the northbound lanes of the freeway and was hit by a silver Lexus RS350 for unknown reasons.

The male victim sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was rushed to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for medication.

The crash resulted in the closure of four lanes of the highway as crews examined and cleared the scene.

Meanwhile, the CHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
