Man Killed in North Hollywood Pedestrian Accident on 170 Freeway at Burbank Boulevard

North Hollywood, California (February 24, 2020) – One person was killed on Sunday evening in an auto-pedestrian crash in North Hollywood, according to police.

A man ages between 40 and 50 years walked into the lanes of the Hollywood (170) Freeway at about 9:00 p.m. on February 23, and was struck by a vehicle on the southbound side of the freeway at Burbank Boulevard, according to the police.

The victim died at the scene as a result of the crash.

Following the accident, lanes 2,3 and 4 of the southbound 170 Freeway were closed for an unspecified period. The HOV and No. 1 lanes were opened.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
