Major Injuries Sustained in Monterey Park 5-Vehicle Crash on Highway 60 near N Wilcox Avenue

Monterey Park, California (May 17, 2020) – Major injuries were sustained in a traffic accident Saturday morning in Monterey Park, according to authorities.

The crash took place at around 8:53 a.m. Saturday, May 16, on Highway 60 near N Wilcox Avenue.

Authorities said a white Ford F-350, a white Honda Civic, a Subaru all-wheel drive, and two other vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of the highway at N Wilcox Avenue.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and rendered aid to the involved parties. Paramedics determined that the accident resulted in major injuries. However, the number of victims and their identities at this time were not available.

All westbound lanes of Highway 60 were closed as crews worked to clear the crash site. As of 10:10 a.m., all lanes were reopened.

The accident remains under investigation.
