Laila Gerczak and David Gerczak in Car Crash at Indian Trail and Lear Avenue in Twentynine Palms

Twentynine Palms, California (December 14, 2019) – Three people were injured in a car accident at an intersection in Twentynine Palms on Thursday, December 12.

According to a local news source, the two-car accident occurred at Indian Trail and Lear Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol said Valerie Jean-Louis, 31, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe when she ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a Ford pickup truck occupied by 59-year-old Laila Gerczak and 68-year-old David Gerczak.

David and Laila were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment

Jean-Louis sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
