Woman Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash on Palo Verde Avenue ID’d as Kymberly Davenport
Long Beach, California (January 23, 2020) – 32-year-old Kymberly Davenport of Long Beach has been identified as the female victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Long Beach on Wednesday night.
According to Long Beach police, the fatal pedestrian collision occurred on Palo Verde Avenue just north of Atherton Street.
As per the report, Davenport entered the roadway in the middle of the block and outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by a 2019 Dodge pickup truck driven by an 18-year-old motorist.
Davenport sustained major injuries to her upper body following the wreck. Davenport died at a local hospital where she was admitted after the collision.
The truck operator remained at the scene and cooperated with the law.
Meanwhile, officials said Speed, cell phone distraction or D.U.I. were not factors in this accident
The investigation is still ongoing.
