Kevin Hart ID’d Toddler Killed in San Joaquin County Car Accident on Interstate 5 near Charter Way

San Joaquin County, California ( December 16, 2019) – 1-year-old Kevin Hart, has been identified as the baby killed after their vehicle collided with an on-duty San Joaquin County deputy on Saturday night in Stockton, according to a police report.

The deadly crash occurred at around 10:30 p.m. December 14, on northbound Interstate 5 near Charter Way.

The California Highway Patrol said the on-duty San Joaquin County was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 when, for unknown reasons, he rear-ended a Ford sedan, which Kevin and his mother were in.

The officer got out of the vehicle, pulled Kevin from the sedan, and began CPR. Kevin was flown to an area children’s hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His mother was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. The officer was also injured and taken to the hospital, but he was later released.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

The collision is still under investigation.
