Boy Hospitalized after Ventura Scooter Crash at Ventura Hill
Ventura, California (February 24, 2020) – A juvenile was hospitalized Saturday morning after a crash involving a scooter in Ventura, a local news source reported.
Police said a 12-year-old boy was riding his electric scooter down a hill at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, when he lost control of the scooter and crashed into a moving car.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and rendered aid to the boy who suffered serious injuries in the accident. He was then transported to a hospital for further medical treatment.
According to the police, the boy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. His name and condition at this time remained undisclosed.
The car driver remained at the scene. No one was hurt in the car.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
