Joseph Hennessey ID’d as Man Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Crash on Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard
Fremont, California (March 21, 2020) – Authorities have identified Joseph Hennessey, 73, as the man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday morning crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Fremont.
The deadly crash happened on Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard at about 6 a.m. on March 14.
A Honda sedan was traveling northbound on Mission Boulevard when it struck Hennessey. The road was very dark at the time, and it remains unclear if Hennessey was hit while at a crosswalk or not, according to the police.
Hennessey was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene and was cooperating with the police.
Mission Boulevard was still closed as of 10:15 a.m. due to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
