John Atcheson Killed in San Diego Car Crash on Maendro Drive and Rancho Bernardo Road

San Diego, California (January 8, 2020) – Authorities have identified the man who died in a collision on Monday evening at San Diego intersection as 71-year-old John Atcheson, according to a report.

The crash occurred at around 6:30 p.m. January 6, at Maendro Drive near Rancho Bernardo intersection.

Authorities said a 23-year-old woman was driving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck heading eastbound when she crashed into a 2018 Chevrolet Volt driven by Atcheson.

Atchinson was severely injured and taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The other driver was suffered broken bones, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash is still under investigation.
