Joey Allen Identified as Motorist Killed in Monrovia Car Crash on 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive
Monrovia, California (February 16, 2020) – The motorist who was killed in a suspected DUI crash that happened Sunday morning in Monrovia has been identified as Joey Trianders Allen, 43, of Lancaster, according to authorities.
The accident occurred on the northbound 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive in Bel-Air at about 2:30 a.m.,.
Authorities said Marco Abrego, 42, of Northridge, was driving southbound in northbound lanes near Bel Air Crest Road when his 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided head-on with the Jaguar.
Allen died at the scene.
The female Toyota driver declined to be taken to a hospital.
Abrego was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being treated for his injuries.
An investigation is underway.
