Authorities Identify Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Road 124 near Risley Avenue in Tulare County as Jesus Meza
Tulare County, California (March 9, 2020) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died in a hit-and-run accident that happened Sunday night in Tulare County as Jesus Meza, 55.
Officers responded to Road 124, just south of Risley Avenue, shortly after 8:30 p.m. on March 8 after receiving reports of the accident.
Upon their arrival, they found Meza unresponsive in the roadway. He was declared deceased at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Meza had already fled the scene. Authorities said the suspect vehicle was last seen heading southbound.
California Highway Patrol officials are searching for the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact CHP Visalia at 559-734-6767.
