Jesus Hernandez Dies in Highway 33 Crash in Gustine

Authorities Identify Victim of Fatal 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 33 near Sullivan Road in Gustine as Jesus Hernandez

Gustine, California (April 28, 2020) – Authorities have identified the person who was killed last week Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash in Gustine.

Jesus Hernandez, 25, of San Jose, died in the accident that took place at about 4:25 p.m. on April 23, on State Route 33 near Sullivan Road.

Authorities said a 1996 Acura Integra was heading northbound on Highway 33 when it attempted to make a left turn onto Sullivan Road and collided with a 2017 Nissan Sentra that was traveling southbound.

Hernandez, who was riding as a passenger in the Integra, died at the scene.

The driver of the Integra, Lisa Chavez, 23, of San Jose, was transported to Los Banos Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The Sentra’s driver, Luis Cruz, 25, of Santa Nella, was uninjured.

All occupants in both vehicles were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that car accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
