Minor Injuries Sustained in Sacramento Crash near Interstate 5 and Capital City Freeway

Sacramento, California (December 7, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained following a traffic accident that happened in Sacramento Friday night, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 6:42 p.m. Friday, December 6 near the Interstate 5 and Capital City Freeway connector.

As per the CHP, four to five vehicles were involved in the wreck. One of the vehicles involved burst into flames following the crash.

Authorities said the crash resulted in minor injuries. The exact number of injured parties and their names have not been released.

The number four, five and six lanes were blocked as a result of the crash. Traffic was backed up past 20th Street on westbound Capital City Freeway.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
